We're quite happy to develop bespoke software and solutions where the need exists. However, a lot of the time an off-the-shelf solution can work well. Some of these solutions are open-sourced, others are proprietary; in all cases, we'll pick the best solution for your needs, not simply the option which is easiest to implement.
Some of the products we've recently worked with to deliver solutions to clients include:
- Visual Studio 2005 - development solutions in C# and ASP.Net,whether the maintenance of existing products or the creation of new ones.
- DotNetNuke - a content management system which is simple to use, yet immensely powerful, and can be extended for custom tasks with the addition of new modules either from a wide variety available online, or custom developed by us where a suitable module doesn't exist.
- Microsoft Commerce Server - we have a wealth of experience of B2B systems and EDI, with staff drawn from some of the world's biggest users of EDI for automatic order placement, status updates and invoicing, including Fortune 500's.
- phpNuke - similar to DotNetNuke, phpNuke is a content management system which offers similar features. Often the decision as to whether to use phpNuke or DotNetNuke for your CMS will centre around the server platforms you have available, with phpNuke being slightly more closely linked with linux and BSD-based operating systems.
- zenCart - an open source online store solution which can cater for a variety of needs.
- PayPal Merchant Tools - whether you're looking to integrate PayPal payments to process cards for you on an online store, send email invoices to customers which they can pay online, or simply to expand the range of payment methods you accept to include PayPal accounts, we're able to offer advice and expertise on implementation with a range of platforms.
- Proprietary and industry-specific platforms - several of our clients have their own internal systems which we've successfully interfaced with or extended to add value or decrease the effort required to produce a result. For example, the UK's National Grid operate a Web Services-based API allowing gas and electricity suppliers to interrogate their system and send updates. We've built a variety of systems which automate various parts of these functions.
- Microsoft SQL Server 2000 & 2005 - one of the most popular databases on the web, and increasingly so since the release of the free SQL Express version which now powers a multitude of sites around the world. We've performed development and tuning services for several clients using data-driven applications to harness the best of Web2.0
